Here's the part many photographers get wrong.
They think knowing when to stop editing is a "feel" thing and it's something you either have an eye for, or you don't.
It's not.
There are two completely different things going on every time you ask yourself "is this too much?"
The Objective Line
This is the point where your edit stops looking like a photo and starts looking like editing.
It's measurable, not a feeling.
You can look at your own edit and be completely convinced it's fine... right up until you know exactly what to test for. Then it's obvious.
The Subjective Zone
Once you're inside that line, that's where your taste lives. Punchy and vivid, or soft and natural, both are great.
Neither is wrong.
But many photographers never get to make that choice on purpose, because they don't actually know if they've already blown past the objective line.
